SENSES offers private one- and two-week healthspan programmes for medically stable individuals in Mallorca or Zurich. Referring professionals can contact admissions to discuss the programme scope, the information needed for an individual review, and coordination with existing care.
Programme scope and suitability
The programme connects individually selected assessment with interpretation and practical priorities for sleep, nutrition, movement, recovery, and everyday capacity. One week focuses on assessment and priorities; two weeks adds time for supported practice and refinement.
Suitability is considered individually. A healthspan stay is not a substitute for acute medical care, psychiatric treatment, addiction treatment, or medical stabilisation. Where those needs take priority, referral should follow the appropriate clinical pathway. Review the programme overview before discussing a referral.
Clarifying the referral question
A focused referral question helps establish whether the proposed stay can be useful. Please describe the person’s goals, the clinical context, what has already been assessed, and any unresolved concerns. Indicate whether the request concerns interpretation, prevention priorities, practical implementation, or coordination.
Existing diagnoses should be accompanied by current functional and clinical context where relevant. A programme description alone cannot establish suitability, and acceptance should not be assumed before the individual review.
Information that may support review
Admissions will explain what information is needed and how it should be shared. Relevant material may include a concise medical history, current medications and allergies, recent reports and results, existing care arrangements, and pending investigations or referrals.
Please distinguish confirmed findings from questions still being investigated. Where practical needs affect participation, include the relevant information about mobility, accessibility, communication, or support. Send records only through the process agreed with the team and with the person’s appropriate authorisation.
Consent and communication
Clarify whether the person authorises communication between SENSES and the referring clinician, what information may be shared, and whom to contact. Attendance with a companion does not itself authorise sharing clinical information with that companion.
Agree on the preferred contacts and the purpose of information exchange. Scheduling communication and clinical communication may have different recipients. The care coordination page outlines the responsibilities to confirm for the individual programme.
Assessment and external services
Assessments are chosen according to the individual history and questions, rather than assumed from a fixed universal panel. The written proposal sets out the agreed consultations and assessments, and distinguishes external services and additional costs where relevant.
Please raise any requirement for specific specialist review before arrangements are confirmed. The six assessment domains described on the website do not establish that every investigation or specialist treatment is provided within the programme. See Health Assessment for the stated approach.
Handover and follow-up responsibilities
The plan for departure should distinguish findings, practical recommendations, outstanding results, referrals, and review points. With the individual’s authorisation, relevant information can support continuity with existing clinicians. Clarify the intended recipient and how the handover is arranged.
Additional follow-up services are agreed individually. A recommendation for review does not automatically mean that an appointment has been booked or that responsibility has transferred. The person should understand who is expected to arrange and deliver each next step.
Discuss a possible referral
Start through SENSES admissions, indicating that you are a referring professional and giving a brief outline of the question without sending a full clinical record through an unconfirmed channel. The team can explain the next steps and the information required.
