The professionals involved in a SENSES programme are selected according to your history, assessment needs, and agreed scope. Your individual proposal should make their roles clear, including who interprets findings and who coordinates the next steps.

Your programme determines the team

Healthspan questions can involve different areas of expertise. SENSES describes assessment across medical and cardiovascular health, sleep and recovery, nutrition and metabolism, movement, cognition, and stress. This does not mean every participant needs every assessment or sees the same professionals.

Before confirming a stay, ask which professionals are included, what each consultation covers, and whether any external investigations or specialist appointments require a separate arrangement. The Health Assessment page explains how your history guides selection.

Clinical responsibilities and coordination

Your programme should identify who reviews the medical information, who explains the findings, and who coordinates appointments and next steps. These responsibilities may involve more than one person. You should know whom to contact with a clinical question and whom to contact about scheduling or accommodation.

Ask how results that arrive after departure will be handled, who communicates an unexpected finding, and who arranges any recommended referral. These details belong in your individual care arrangements.

The relationship to THE BALANCE GROUP

SENSES is part of THE BALANCE GROUP and shares its admissions contacts. Existing THE BALANCE team biographies provide background on group professionals. A biography is not confirmation that a particular person is assigned to your SENSES programme.

Admissions can confirm the proposed professionals and provide the relevant information about their roles and qualifications. Availability and responsibilities should be checked for your chosen location and dates.

Your admissions contacts

Jil Moore, Client Relations Director, and Cynthia Nakhle, Admissions Manager, are the shared admissions contacts identified by SENSES.

The admissions team helps with programme inquiries, practical arrangements, and the information needed for review. These admissions roles should be distinguished from the professionals responsible for clinical assessment and medical decisions.

Contact the team through Fees & Admissions to discuss your priorities.

Working with your existing clinicians

A residential assessment should fit alongside the care you already receive. Tell the team about current clinicians, recent investigations, prescribed medicines, and outstanding appointments. This helps clarify which information is useful and which responsibilities remain with your existing providers.

Information sharing requires your authorisation and an appropriate process. Before departure, clarify who receives the summary and results, which referrals are recommended, and which review appointments you need to arrange. Referring clinicians can use our professional referral information.

Questions to resolve before confirming a stay

  • Who is responsible for my medical review and interpretation of results?
  • Which consultations are included in the proposal?
  • Are external services needed, and how are they arranged and charged?
  • Who will contact me if results arrive after I leave?
  • How will information be shared with my doctor, with my consent?
  • What follow-up is included and what requires a separate agreement?

These questions help turn a general description of a team into clear responsibilities for your particular programme. Compare the programme formats and discuss the proposed scope with admissions.
